Since 2003, the Delavan Historical Society’s focus has been to educate and preserve and create awareness for Delavan’s unique and storied past. With the recent opening of the Delavan Historical Society Exhibit and Resource Center, we are able to provide the community with a place to collect, preserve and keep safe documents and items that reflect the history of the City and Town of Delavan.

The Delavan Historical Society Exhibit & Resource Center is located at 663 East Ann St. (The former Fire Safety Building)  Displays involving local artifacts and stories of local significance change four times a year, and the Resource Center continues to grow as we research and collect documents and memorabilia from the public. Currently, the Exhibit and Resource Center is open Mondays and Saturdays, 10:00am – 2:00pm, or by appointment. Additional hours may be added in the near future. Call the Delavan Historical Society (262) 740-7410, Patti Marsicano (262) 745-9473 or Sandy Behn (262) 215-0311 for more information.

Our members are a diverse array of local citizens, and those who have moved away; people who have visited Delavan, and those whose family lived here long ago; those interested in history and genealogy to local businesses and organizations who realize the importance of preserving and maintaining the story of our past, and our present for future generations.

Meetings and programs are held on the third Thursday of each month at the Delavan Historical Society Exhibit Resource Center, 663 East Ann St., Delavan at 7pm (During the winter months of January, February and March, the meetings at held at 1pm.)

Refreshments are served after the program and we encourage visitors to socialize. Occasionally a business meeting is held following the refreshment break. These meetings are open to the public.
